The recipe: Baking your very own breakfast pizza at home
Making your own breakfast pizza at home with a wonderful wood-fired pizza oven is very easy.
Here, we present the recipe for an irresistible breakfast crafted by our pizza enthusiasts at Pizza Ovens n More!
We recommend your own dough if you are a fitness freak and prefer to make your own choices in parameters such as the grain concentration, gluten etc.
For those accustomed to making pizzas or gorging on them, you’ll be glad to learn that this is pretty much like any other pizza. It’s made on a foundation of mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce and capsicum like most pizzas, but as a twist, typical breakfast items such as bacon, eggs, mushroom and cheese are added on to the mix.
So without much ado, let’s get on with our breakfast pizza recipe, shall we?
- A regular pizza dough
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 roasted capsicum, sliced
- 6-8 slices of cooked bacon, extra crispy
- 5-6 eggs
1. Heat the pizza oven to about 750 F.
2. Flatten the pizza dough to about ¼ thickness.
3. Bake the dough in the pizza oven for 2 minutes.
4. Remove the baked pizza dough and spread olive oil around it.
5. Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese all over the pizza dough evenly.
6. Make 6 shallow holes on the pizza dough and crack the 6 eggs into these holes.
7. Spread the sliced roasted capsicum pieces all over the pizza.
8. Put it back into the pizza oven and bake for 3 minutes.
9. Remove the pizza from the oven.
10. Poke each of the 6 eggs to spread the yolk.
11. Spread the crispy bacon pieces all over the pizza.
